March 28, 2007 - Oceanic Heads Up Display Mask, - Wednesday, March 28, 2007

We had the opportunity if trying out the new Oceanic HUD mask. It was a great mask to play with. We have had a great response from the divers that did get to try the mask on the weekend. We have placed an order and hope to have them in stock by June or July. I am hoping to try and get the mask back so we can have another try with the mask for those who would like to try it. I will keep you posted. Happy diving, Ken.

One Year - Saturday, March 24, 2007

Hi everyone. It has been one year since we took over Northwest Scuba. We have made a lot of changes. I hope for the good. Right now we are renovating the front sales area. Stop by and see the changes.
We have done a few trips and have had a lot of new trips we are trying to do with a couple of other stores. We have trips going to Hornby Island, Chuuk, Cozumel and Bonaire in the future.
Stop by and see our fish tanks that we have added to the store.
We are bringing Mandy-Rae to Edmonton in September. This is going to be a great event. We will have all the details soon.
We have two beach and lake events that we are going to do with the Underwater Council and Project Aware.
I would like to thank everyone who has come to our store and supported us. We look forward to a bright future. Lets keep diving.
Thank You, Ken, Laura, Carol & Brian.

We have been on a few trips and are planning a few over the next few months. We are going back to Bonaire in April. Watch for the details, this trip will be with 630CHED. We are going to Hornby Island at the end of March. We have Truck Lagoon booked for November. Space is limited for this trip. We are also planning on Galapagos for two years from now.
We have our Jasper trips posted on the web site. We also have plans for lots of specialties. So for anyone who is looking to become a Master Scuba diver, this is your chance to get started. We have an Enriched air course in early February and at the end of February you can try a REBREATHER. It is an introduction to rebreather. We also have a IDC scheduled for May. Ken Holliday, Laura Villneff and Carol Villneff would all like to express to everyone how much fun we are having working in the dive shop. We would also like to let you know that the working team at Northwest Scuba has expanded.

New Changes to play in the pool!!!!!

Our Wednesday night “Come Play in the Pool” has proven to be very popular with a wide variety of divers. Every Wednesday from 8:30 PM to 10:30 PM, Northwest Scuba reserves the Strathcona High School Pool, to allow individuals to come in and brush up on their diving skills, try out the new diving equipment that has come onto the market or just exercise those diving lungs and muscles in preparation for the next recreational dive. Our rate is $15.00 + $5.00 if you need equipment. We have devised a new system to try out.
Before you go to the pool come in and buy your chips. We will be handing out chips to get into the pool. They will be colour coded depending on what you need and how much you paid for. If you need just pool time (because you have all your own equipment) you will receive a blue chip and if you need equipment you will get a red chip too. If you have any questions please give us a call or email.

The Open House that happened June 10th was a great success. We had a great time meeting with everybody. We also would like to thank all the companies that donated door prizes (they were much appreciated by us and the people who won them). We hope to see you all throughout the summer months to come.
